This photofilm is an excerpt from UNEARTHED (2021), a photography and sound project that sought to understand how metal detectorists in Manchester, England connect to landscape, history, and imagination through their practice.

This project began as part of a documentary and sensory media course organized around themes of air, water, earth, and fire as subjects for linking multi-modal methods to anthropological inquiry.
